I lived at McKinnon at the time and the railway station was from where I ventured forth on many a memorable journey, and to which I returned, tired, dishevelled, usually starving but always glad to be back at “my station”. I got to know the staff fairly well, and spent many pleasant evenings getting acquainted with “Double Line Block”.

The overhead in the top right of the picture was for the Toorak goods yard access track.
Toorak goods yard access track can again be seen just in front of the Harris set.
